OGDEN -- A teenage girl was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when she fell about 40 feet from a rocky cliff while hiking 1 1/2 miles east of 2550 South.
Two other girls who were hiking with the victim and became stranded on the cliffs were rescued without injury, said Corey Barton, a battalion chief for the Ogden Fire Department.
I was pretty certain when I could hear the helicopter working last night that there must have been a rescue going on. Turns out I was right. This rescue took place just about ½ mile from my house. Pretty scary stuff for the girls involved.
